Knowing how to avoid violence BEFORE it takes place is more important than any combat skill you may learn. I can teach you everything I know about dealing with a violent encounter but if someone successfully catches you in an ambush and injures you with their first strike, you will never get a chance to use any of it. The only fight you always win is the one you avoid. We will discuss strategies and tactics you can use BEFORE violence happens to avoid it altogether.
But if violence does happen and you successfully use the tool of violence to survive, what you do AFTER combat is critical. What you say or don’t say, what you do or don’t do can be the difference between going home or going to jail. You MUST have a narrative for what happened and why you did what you did. You MUST have thought through the realities of the aftermath of violence before it happens. This section of the seminar discusses considerations for what to do AFTER violence happens and strategies for being able to provide the narrative of why you had a reasonable expectation that your life was in jeopardy and why you had no choice but to use violence.
